Draw it with your eyes closed:
the art of the art assignment

Published by Paper Monument, co-edited by Prem Krishnamurthy, and designed by Project Projects, Draw it with your eyes closed considers art education as an object of inquiry by examining its most basic form of pedagogy: the art assignment. At once questioning, criticizing, and informing the role and purpose of the assignment, the book collects a range of essays, drawings, and creative briefs from over 100 artists, writers, and educators, including: Julie Ault, John Baldessari, Martin Beck, James Benning, Liam Gillick, Christine Hill, Bob Nickas, Amie Siegel, Amy Sillman, and many more. Project Projects also designed a participatory website for the project.
