Entry Points: The Vera List Center Field Guide
on Art and Social Justice No. 1

Every two years, The Vera List Center Prize for Art and Politics is awarded to artists whose work is concerned with advancing social justice in their communities. Entry Points is the first in an ongoing series of publications documenting each award.

The book is divided into two sections: “The Field,” which covers each of the nominees and their work, alongside a text by the nominator about the nominee, and “Dorchester Projects,” which provides further scholarship on the 2012 winner, Dorchester Projects, directed by Theaster Gates. Each section is defined by a constrasting color (green and orange), a structure that is revealed both on the spine and in the gutter of each section, creating a reflective spinal glow.
