M+ Screenings is a film screening series that showcases diverse moving image works on a single cinema screen. Taking place approximately three times a year, each program is conceived to explore a specific theme over a single weekend.
Project Projects developed a graphic identity for the series, as well as a range of print collateral and digital assets, including posters, flyers, program booklets, large-format billboards, online banners, and social media assets. The graphic identity is characterized by oversized, rotated text, which displays the series name and dates. By defamiliarizing and abstracting the characters, their verticality becomes reminiscent of rolls of 16mm film. Similarly, but on another axis, film stills scroll horizontally, continuously, further evoking the linearity and frame-by-frame quality of film.
