The Renaissance Society website

The Renaissance Society, at the University of Chicago, is an independent, non-collecting museum renowned for its trailblazing program, celebrating its centennial in 2015. The Renaissance Society’s website launch coincides with the institution’s new identity, also designed by Project Projects.

The website references The Renaissance Society’s rich history of exhibition-making through large-scale immersive photography, which serves as a stable backdrop for content around current exhibitions and events, as well as an extensive representation of materials from their archive. The resultant sense of layering echoes a long, pioneering history while at the same time conveying a contemporary look and feel which appeals to both local and international audiences.
